Wingspan

Thrown out from secondary school Aislin receives opportunity to graduate when she's accepted to Stark House- a private institution for the wayward youth. Extremely nervous about following through with Admissions on a good start Aislin is exposed to a bunch of odd characters namely Kira, a purple haired spunky girl with enough attitude to match any boys, and Josh, the sweet introspective grunge with a wild taste for accessories; but it's the average looking brown-eyed boy who catches her attention most- whose name later on is revealed as Rider, a renowned trickster with sinister ulterior motives.
On her very first day Aislin gets caught off guard during p.e. when two best friends introduce themselves as Mason, the green-eyed goof ball who makes fun of Wesley, the solemn artist with impeccable refined social behavior uncommon for a place filled with disturbed teenagers.
Aislins new everyday norm becomes stressful to handle when she meets Toby, a surly boy with severe attitude problems whom she never knows how will act on any given day.
Being able to see ghosts from a young age Aislin helps out her accomplice, Chanel, to find the portal- a universal transporter which purpose serves as a gateway for spirits of the dead. However, that proves difficult when Chanel uncovers a long-standing deception between Stark House graduates which Chanel eventually tells Asilin about.
Suspecting that something fishy is going on at Stark House, Aislin becomes determined to find out what her new friends are up to. But the truth, once revealed, is so much more complicated than first realized.
With new rivals and unexpected friendships, Aislin must determine who she can trust or else risk to be known for another dead student found on campus grounds.
